The video starts with National Open Youth Orchestra musician Jaidon playing a rendition of One by Metallica on his electric guitar. He introduces himself to the camera. (Jaidon) Hi, my name is Jaidon and I am part of NOYO. A logo of the National Open Youth Orchestra zooms into the screen. It features a colourful icon composed of different geometric shapes. The soundtrack as the logo is on screen is an instrumental version of Voodoo Child by Jimmy Hendricks. When the music stops, Jaidon speaks to the camera. (Jaidon) My name is Jaidon and I play the guitar. I like rock, metal and blues. (Question on screen) - an instrumental of Voodoo Child by Jimmy Hendricks can be heard whenever questions are show on screen: Who inspired you to play? (Jaidon) My main influence would be Hendrix. I started with like old school rock from the 70s and then I kind of got into more heavier stuff like Metallica, Iron Maiden. Yeah, I like a lot of different types of bands and musicians. (Question on screen) How did you find auditioning for the National Open Youth Orchestra? (Jaidon) Nerve-wracking. I was very nervous. A message on the screen says 'But Jaidon did pretty well with a smiley sign". Some footage of Jaidon's audition is shown, in which he plays a Led Zeppelin track on his acoustic guitar accompanied by National Open Youth Orchestra Musical Director Doug Bott on the keyboard. The session ends with a round of applause, with Doug clapping as well others in the room who cannot be seen. Charlie Groves, who is the Assistant Musical Director can be heard next. (Charlie) You did good stuff (Jaiden) I went out of tune. That was pretty annoying, but yeah... (Charlie) These things happen. (Doug) It happens. (Charlie) Very good self-tuning. (Question on screen) Should others apply? (Jaidon) Yeah, definitely do it. It's a good opportunity and I am glad I took it. (Questions on screen) What's good about NOYO? (Jaidon) I just want the opportunity to play with people really in NOYO because It's hard playing with, you know, because I'm a very nervous person. My anxieties are pretty big around when I'm in public or going anywhere. So I mean here it's much more easier. And they understand me and I understand them. (Questions on screen) How do you relax playing in front of others? (Jaidon) I mean, if it's a song that I've played over and over and over, it's very easy for me to do it without messing it up. If it's like a song that I've only learned for a couple of days, then something kind of happens through the performance. The video ends with Jaidon playing One by Metallica on his electric guitar, with the National Open Youth Orchestra logo zooming in for the last frame.
