National Open Youth Orchestra musicians playing brass, string and electronic instruments. Two Clarions are shown on the picture.

Over the past weeks, we have closely monitored the developments around COVID-19, with the safety of the young musicians we work with, their families, our staff and audiences always our primary concern.

In line with the Government’s latest directives, it is with a heavy heart that we have had to cancel the forthcoming National Open Youth Orchestra events:

– The National Open Youth Orchestra residential, 14 – 17 April

– National Open Youth Orchestra concerts on 26 April (St. George’s Bristol), 9 May (Milton Court London); and 5 June (High Sheriff’s concert in Bristol).

We were very much looking forward to sharing this important milestone with you – the National Open Youth Orchestra’s first-ever concerts!, but in these challenging times, would just like to say how proud we are of the accomplishments of the young musicians to date. They have worked so hard to prepare for these performances and we hope to be able to showcase their talent very soon.

Over the coming months, we will look for new opportunities to share our music, so please stay tuned, and above all, keep safe.

Thank you for your on-going support.
